In a heartbreaking event at Jayarogya Hospital, part of Gajra Raja Medical College in Gwalior, a 70-year-old cancer patient reportedly took his own life on Thursday. An official confirmed the details of the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Ramkaran Singh, a resident of Morena district in Madhya Pradesh, who was undergoing treatment for cancer. According to reports, he hanged himself from a window in the ward located on the fifth floor.
Krisna Lalchandani, the Additional Superintendent of Police, stated, 'The incident was reported to the Kompu police station, which promptly dispatched a team to the hospital.' He added that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation is currently underway. Family members informed the police that Singh had been distressed due to his illness, which may have led him to take this drastic step.
